The Emperor-Star Wars

"Come, boy, see for yourself. From here, you will witness the final destruction of the Alliance and the end of your insignificant rebellion". (Kylie is the "Smiling Emperor" from Star Wars!) On another note Kylie loves to dress up in Mommy's clothes so I thought this was really cute when she put my coat on. What a ham!!

AAAAHHH!

Kylie took this picture and it turned out really good! Maybe I have a future Annie Leibovitz!

It's Cracker Time!!

Since Sophia turned 6 months we have been able to start some table foods. At her six month appointment she weighed 17 lbs. and 6 oz. (50% to 75% percentile) and was 27 1/4 in. tall (upper 97% percentile). She had her first cracker a few weeks ago and she loved it! Scroll from the bottom to the top to see it from beginning to end. She also tried mashed potatoes at Nana Pete's house last Saturday and she was like "holy cow, where have these been for the last 6 1/2 months"!!
This is so cool! I can eat it!

Can I eat it?

What is this?

The Exhibitionist!

So after about 10 shots of Sophia in the bathtub I finally got a g-rated picture. Everytime I went to take the picture she would pull the washcloth off! She is also sporting the "soapy faux hawk".

Kylie's Doggie Ears

Anyone who knows my sweet baby knows she has fantastic hair but will never let me do anything with it so this is like a big deal! Kylie only let me put her hair in doggie ears because I told her she could shake them like Gracie does....sooooo, here she is "shaking her doggie ears"!! On another note, the doggie ears lasted right up until we were getting into the car to go to church!!

Sophia holding her bottle.

Not only did she get her shots that day but she held her bottle for the first time on March 2nd! Mommy & Daddy are so proud! She has held it a few more times since then but prefers to have it held for her. She's such a princess!

Sick Baby

Okay, it has been a rough time in the Hunt Household. Hopefully I will do better with my blog. We were all sick about a month ago and poor, poor Sophia ended up getting it last. She was miserable. This is how we basically had to sleep for a few days. What a great Daddy she has. Thankfully we are all on the mend. Unfortunately my poor Sopapilla has been blessed with "Mommy's Allergies"!

Sopapilla

This is my smiley girl! Sopapilla taking a break after a hard day of jumping in her jumperoo!!

Barbie & Skipper

Here are my girls in the Barbie Jammin" Jeep! Kylie has been somewhat stingy with letting me take pictures of her lately so I am really proud of how big a smile she gave me in this one! Now if only Sophia would give me one (she likes to save hers until after the camera flashes)!

New Happenings at Hunt Manor

So lots of new things happening. Sophia is teething up a storm! She can't find enough things to chew on. Her current favorite is her hand! She can almost put her whole hand in her mouth! No sign of teeth yet but it won't be long now.

Kylie at the Pumpkin Patch

Kylie and Daddy petting the donkey at the Pumpkin Patch on Halloween.

Kylie feeding the goats. Kylie had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch. This is the first time that she has been able to actually feed the animals at a petting zoo. Mommy has a picture of her feeding the goats when she was little as well. If I can find it I will post it. It is amazing how much Kylie and Mommy looked alike at that age.

The Big Day-Sophia's Baby Dedication

Daddy, Mommy & Sophia listening to Mrs. Schwabe.

Okay guys, I'm getting better at this. I did this all by myself this morning. I don't have all my pictures downloaded so some of my posts are going to be out of order until I get back on track. This is Sophia and Daddy getting ready to go to church for Sophia's special day. We had Sophia dedicated at First Christian Church in November of 2008. Uncle Rick, Aunt Tessa, Jacob, Ethan, Nana Joy, Papa Neal, Uncle Marc,Nana Pete, Papa Pete, Aunt Carolyn, Aunt Shelly, Barrett, Kylie, Mommy & Daddy were there. Everything was very nice. Mrs. Schwabe and Reverend Chris Shorow did the dedication and gave Sophia a certificate that Mommy put in her baby book. Kylie & Barrett had a good time running up and down the stairs in the auditorium. I will post those action shots later. When Reverend Chris held Sophia and walked her around the auditorium to meet the congregation Kylie said "I don't want him to hold my baby"!!

Christmas 2008

Thank goodness Jessica is back so I can update my blog. I promise I will be better at this. I may have actually caught on how to do it this time. We had a great Christmas this year. First of all it was extra special because baby Sophia was here! Kylie had a great time! She was especially excited when she pulled a chocolate Santa out of her stocking (she put on a brave face when she saw underwear and socks first but come on, I'm a cool mom, I would never deprive her of a little sugar fix). Kylie also got the coveted "Barbie Jammin' Jeep" which on her first test drive she almost wiped out Nana Joy...good thing Nana knows how to move fast!!

Sophia had Christmas Sweet potatoes for the first time and loved them! Mommy couldn't shovel them in fast enough! She hasn't stopped eating since!! So far her only dislike is peas and I'm fairly certain that is genetic!

This is Kylie, Daddy and cousin Barrett on Christmas Eve and Aunt SHelly & Uncle Mike's house making cookies for Santa. They had the best time!

Kylie (and Gracie "Elizabeth" Hunt) finding chocolate instead of underwear in her stocking!

Check it out guys! Jennifer Hunt is making a blog! Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. The Hunt family had a great 2008. As many of you know we welcomed a new princess to our happy family on August 25th, Miss Sophia Marie. She is almost 5 months now and growing so fast! She is such a sweet, beautiful little angel! She is eating all kinds of foods now and she especially loves sweet potatoes, squash and bananas. She also loves the jumperoo! The other night she jumped for 45 minutes!! Watch out Jane Fonda!!Miss Kylie is doing well also. She is growing so fast and is a beautiful, sweet, sassy little girl! She is currently enrolled in preschool at St. Mary's Episcopal School and doing very well! She goes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:15 to 2:15. She is learning so much and always has something entertaining to tell us. Mommy picks her up after she gets off work and we go home and see little sister. Greg also received a promotion in November of last year to Detective. We are all so proud of him!! He worked really hard and I believe has found his calling! Plus he is dressing up now wearing ties almost every day and he looks so handsome (yowza)! As for me I am still working in dispatch on dayshift. I will be here 7 years on January 28th! I have turned into a bit of a celebrity and I can currently be seen on the Edmond Life channel 20. :) I will try to keep up with this as best I can. If it is a little while between updates you'll know there is no one at work to help me figure out how to do it!!
